Composition in photography and film determines how the audience will artistically perceive it.
The Golden ratio is an unsaid rule of photography and film, widely used by photographers and cinematographers. The rule of thirds is a famous example of composition that is according to the golden ratio. It is a guideline that requires the subject, for example the person, placed in the right or left third of the frame, leaving the other 2 thirds open and free.
